This page is a step-by-step guide to safely set up and use your Trezor hardware wallet. Follow each step carefully — your recovery seed is the single most important item.

Use the supplied USB cable to connect the device to your computer. In a browser, go to Trezor.io/start. This official page will guide you to the latest Trezor Suite or web app and detect your device.
Download the official Trezor Suite (desktop or web). The Suite is the recommended interface for firmware management, wallet setup, and transactions. Only download from the official trezor.io
domain.
Follow on-screen prompts to create a new wallet. Choose a secure PIN when asked. Your device will display the recovery seed words — write them down exactly, in order, on paper. Do not store the seed digitally or share it with anyone.
Tip: Keep multiple, geographically separated copies of your seed in secure locations (safe deposit box, home safe).
Allow firmware updates if prompted. Trezor Suite will perform authenticity checks. Verify messages and fingerprints on the device screen — never accept instructions that ask for your seed.
In Trezor Suite, add accounts for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other supported coins. To receive funds, use the receiving address shown in Suite and confirm that exact address on your Trezor device screen before sending.
Keep firmware up to date. Never enter your recovery seed into a computer or website. Beware of phishing sites — always verify the URL is trezor.io
.
Important: Trezor support will never ask for your recovery seed or PIN.
